Tamales Colorados: “Red” Tamales, prepared with corn and rice flour and a red sauce of roasted bell peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, onions, garlic, dry chiles and spices, wrapped in banana leaves and then steamed.  Mildly spicy.

Guicoyitos Rellenos: “guicoyitos” are small round zuchinnis. The guicoyitos are hollowed and then filled with a vegetable mixture of thinly sliced blanched green beans, sautéed with chopped tomatoes, onion, garlic and parsley.  Not spicy.  

Arroz en Leche:  A dessert made of cooked white rice, milk, cinnamon and sugar.
